Seeming Perfect ruins your success with women
So you’ve worked on yourself a whole lot. Perhaps you’ve spotted a new hairstyle, took greater care of your health, groomed yourself to sexy perfection and have a lifestyle worthy of your own cable TV channel. Surely women must be flooding into your life right now, right?
If you truly are so perfect, the truth is, you will actually intimidate many women. For non-TDD students, this may not make a lot of sense to you.
Why would a woman be intimidated by me?
Think back of a time where there was a woman who intimidated you. Perhaps she was dating a rich and good-looking guy. Maybe she was a celebrity. Maybe she’s Megan Fox. If you have ever been in a situation like the one I described above, then it’s safe to say that if you can be intimidated by a woman, a woman can be intimidated by a man too. As men and women, we are not that different. We have our successes and triumphs as well as our failures and defeats. This is why we believe so strongly at TDD that women are team mates. Here is gold for you : Women are hardwired to want to help you.
Behind every successful man is a successful woman. Why is it that every woman who hears this get all femi-nazi and doesn’t say something like, “Behind every successful woman is a successful man.” instead? This is because women experience great joy and satisfaction from being able to help the man in their life. It adds meaning to their lives. It’s just like us men, who like knowing that our women need us.
With that in mind, portraying the idea that your life is PERFECT will ruin this whole dynamic. The problem with a person being “perfect” is that it is just too unbelievable. If your life seems perfect, a woman will feel like she has no part to play in your life. If you are seemingly playing “hard-to-get” and you play it too well, you will really be hard-to-get… or maybe even impossible-to-get. We at TDD call it the Perfect Guy Syndrome (PGS). If you choose not to show Justified Interest in her by escalating to cement your relationship, you will eventually lose her. When you are the 24/7 Attractive Man, you’ve gotta be a master of helping her to help you.
Helping her to help you
There is a fine balance between appearing too needy and too non-needy when you are helping her to help you. All this is covered in-depth in the COC 5 : Conversation Master podcast but in this post, I will be talking about some of the things you should bear in mind. Trust me, if a woman is into you, she will be glad that you talk about all these things.
Showing Vulnerability
Vulnerability adds an element of humanity to you. Seeming too perfect will make you seem super-human, which gives her almost nothing to work with. Let her know your fears, your weaknesses, the things that make you sad so she can work on giving you comfort and support, which women are so awesome at giving.
Giving her ideas on how to impress you
If you have ever been in a situation where you thought to yourself, “Hmm, how can I make my woman happy?”, here’s a fact for you : Women have the same feelings too! Knowing that they can make you happy adds meaning to their lives and they will definitely want to impress you if they have the chance!
You can tell her about the foods that you like, the activities that you enjoy doing, the places that you like to go and even a certain way that you like your women to dress. When you drop these little hints, be prepared to be surprised by how sweet women can be to you.
Don’t be a know-it-all
Know-it-alls are annoying. Apart from being bad-listeners, they are generally self-centered and don’t need anything more than a person to listen to them. So they usually have a lot of friends. How the hell is a woman supposed to work on impressing and seducing you if you don’t have a chance? Besides, if you were to put your ego aside once in a while, you will realise that there is a lot you can learn from a woman. Hell, I owe almost all my knowledge about skincare and healthy eating to women. Women (and everyone else) also have unique point-of-views that can actually be really interesting. A conversation is two-way, so embrace whatever input your partner is giving you as well!
If you want to take it a step further, if you get her working hard to impress you, it’s a lot easier than you doing the work!
